Not a day goes by that Netflix subscribers don’t sit back, think to themselves and say, “Wow, all good things really do come to an end.” In recent years, the streaming giant has shut down promising series like The Society and Grand Army. More recently, shows like Ozark and Money Heist have come to a close after multi-season runs. Now, another popular series will bite the dust at Netflix.
This morning, Netflix announced that Top Boy would come to a close after its upcoming season. According to the announcement, the show will begin filming the third season during the summer. However, there is no word as to when the show will return to Netflix.
Netflix’s announcement comes just a few weeks after season two premiered on the platform. Thus far, it has earned positive reviews from both fans and critics alike.
“Top Boy has done it again. I recently found myself up at the ungodly hour of 4 a.m., unable to sleep, having made the unhealthy decision to see out the end of the Netflix series’ second season,” Shane Ryan of Paste Magazine wrote.
“Top Boy Season 2 was one of the craziest seasons of any show i’ve ever seen. I was not expecting that,” a fan added.
Season three of Top Boy will have a lot to live up to when it returns.
