NFL legend Tom Brady may have retired, but he has not left the game of football behind entirely. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Brady will produce a new film called 80 For Brady starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field. Directed by Kyle Marvin, the film’s script will be written by Michael Covino.
Inspired by a true story, THR explains that the film will tell the story of four best friends who love the New England Patriots. As Brady and the Patriots travel out to Super Bowl LI, four friends make their way down to Houston to see the big game. Along the way, they survive the ups and downs of the biggest event in American pop culture.
Production is set to kick off this spring, but there is no release date set just yet.
