Front Office Sports has reported that TNT has shown interest in bringing Yahoo’s Chris Haynes on for NBA game day coverage. Specifically, the Turner backed network is looking to bring Haynes on for their Tuesday night game crew beginning in January.
In the new year, Ian Eagle and Brian Anderson will act as play by play announcers for Tuesday night games. Bleacher Report’s Adam Lefkoe will stand in as the studio host. Joining him, Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O’Neal and Candace Parker will serve as studio analysts.
Previously, Haynes joined the Yahoo Sports team as a senior NBA insider after Adrian Wojnarowski left for ESPN. According to the report, Yahoo has allegedly given Haynes the green light to take the offer if it is made.
This report comes in the wake of a major changes at TNT. Recently, the network elected to cut its “Players Only” segment with Grant Hill, Derek Fisher, Kevin McHale, and Richard Hamilton.
