CBS has announced that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will return on Monday, March 30, 2020.
“I’m staying at home and so is everybody who works for me, but thanks to some amazing work by my staff and the CBS broadcasting folks, we will be back on Monday with new Late Shows,” Colbert wrote on Twitter.
“Until then-Stay Strong,” he concluded the tweet.
Colbert is currently on a ten day break that was previously scheduled. Prior to taking a break, CBS aired repeats with new monologues filmed from his home.

The COVID-19 pandemic has ravaged much of late night television. Showtime’s Desus & Mero remains on hiatus. Meanwhile, HBO just announced that Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Real Time With Bill Maher will return soon enough as we head into April. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah has been able to stay afloat with new content by filming full-length originals from home environments.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will air weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS when it returns on Monday.
