A woman who wishes to remain anonymous has filed a civil lawsuit against Kirshnik “Takeoff” Ball in Los Angeles. The anonymous woman has accused the Atlanta area native of raping her at a party in Los Angeles in June. The lawsuit also makes claims that the the best-selling artist engaged in criminal activities such as sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, gender violence and interference with civil rights.
The alleged incident took place on June 22, 2020. Daryl “DJ Durel” McPherson allegedly invited the woman to the party. During the night, the woman claims that Ball was staring at her through the night and making her feel uncomfortable. At one point, the woman claims Ball offered marijuana and when she declined McPherson offered to take her upstairs to his room. On the way to the room, the lawsuit claims that Ball and McPherson had an argument that led to Ball following the woman into the room. While in the room, the woman said that she denied Ball’s advances several times before he raped her.
After leaving the party, the woman went to the hospital the same day. While there, medical professionals said they observed “physical evidence of forceful rape.” She then notified the Los Angeles Police Department.
“She has already been victimized because of the incident, and continues to be victimized because Takeoff is a free man and has yet to be arrested. We hope that law enforcement pursues its investigation more aggressively, so she can receive the criminal justice she deserves,” the anonymous woman’s attorney, Neama Rahmani, stated.
A civil lawsuit has been filed in the matter, but no criminal charges have been made as of yet.
