The old saying about there only being six degrees of separation between our lives was proved to be true on a recent episode of T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Radio podcast.
During the show’s most recent episode, comedian Roy Wood Jr. stopped by to talk about mental health, his career as a comedian and much more. Before getting to the more important topics, Wood Jr. and T-Pain talked about the city that once brought them together, Tallahassee.
T-Pain grew up in the state capital of Florida while Wood Jr. spent time there as a college student at Florida A&M University. While the two don’t have many memories of running in the same circles because of the slight age difference, Wood Jr. did remember being having a gun pulled at him outside of a club called the NEC. Interestingly enough, T-Pain remembers that same club because his father use to own it. From there, Wood Jr. details the now hilarious memory of how he nearly was shot as he contemplated whether or not he wanted to pay the cover charge during homecoming weekend.
