The world continues to mourn the loss of Earl “DMX” Simmons. After 50 years of blessing the world with his light and honesty, he has transitioned into a better space. In the wake of his death, his friends, family and colleagues continue to carry on his legacy. One man who has worked hard to honor the life of DMX is the man who produced some of his biggest hits, Swizz Beatz.
“I’m truly beyond devastated, but I’m so happy my brother is no longer in pain. I watched him take everyone’s pain and make it his own. I send my love and support to his entire family. My brother, we will never let them forget your name and you will live forever. Long live King DMX,” the producer wrote after his friend’s passing.
Working to keep his name alive, Swizz Beatz has delivered a new record with DMX doing what he does best. Coming from the Godfather of Harlem season two soundtrack, “Been To War” features the legend DMX, Swizz Beatz and French Montana. It offers the same tough tone that the late artist delivered on the show’s theme song with Rick Ross. Check out the full song below.
