When Kobe Bryant was unfortunately sidelined with a torn rotator cuff, which will require him to get surgery, there were a ton of questions that came across people’s minds.
One that shot across right away was ‘what is head coach of the Western Conference All-Stars, Steve Kerr, going to do about the other starting guard, alongside Stephen Curry’?
The decision looks like it’s going to come down between Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson or Houston Rockets guard James Harden.
Coach Kerr seems to have an idea of what to do.

Now that sounds like a great idea. Why not have 2 of the best shooters in the NBA square off for that spot to start the game? Thompson versus Harden.
Based off recent events, the favorite would have to be Klay Thompson. The 3-point specialist will be in the 3-point shootout during NBA All-Star weekend as well so he has to be the favorite.
Harden won’t go down with out a fight and NBATV’s Brent Barry even said on a recent episode of NBATV’s ‘The Starters‘ that he thinks Kerr will pick Harden. You would have to also love the idea of an all-Warriors backcourt of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Only time will tell. Hopefully both will be voted in first, which is going to be announced on Thursday.
