The 3-point shootout this year is going to be fun. According to Adrian Wojnarowski the All-Star Weekend 3-point shootout participants are finalized.
Participants:
- Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
- Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors)
- Wesley Matthews (Portland Trailblazers)
- Kyle Korver (Atlanta Hawks)
- J.J Redick (Los Angeles Clippers)
- Marco Bellineli (San Antonio Spurs) (Last years champion expected to return)
This is probably the best 3-point shootout lineup in a while. All 6 players have a straight up chance at winning with the Splash Brothers being the favorites to win it. If you ask me, I say J.J Redick is the low-key winner here. Usually players who are catch and shoot, shooters are better then those who dribble into shots, in the 3-point contest. With that being said, Bellineli, Thompson, Korver, and Redick will be favorites. It’s obvious they have taken away the East vs. West format as 5 of the players are from the West. Let’s hope this years contest is more entertaining then last year.
Belinelli is the lone participant that hasn’t been confirmed yet to join the already great lineup but all signs indicate that last years champion will return to defend his crown during NBA All-Star Weekend.
