Steve Harvey has done everything in his career from starring his own television show to tearing down stages with the Kings of Comedy. This week, he will add yet another accomplishment to his resume. On Sunday, the entertainment legend will host a Verzuz battle featuring The Isley Brother and Earth, Wind & Fire.
“Steve Harvey will be hosting Verzuz this Sunday with The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire,” the brand tweeted.
The battle between the two groups will take place on April 4. Later this month, Verzuz will showcase battles between Method Man and Redman along with a Ladies Night starring Xscape and SWV.
“Everybody’s been asking about it. We were ready. We’re never [backing] down from a battle. It’s great for the culture,” LaTocha Scott of Xscape said.
“At first, we were thinking of doing a girl group vs. a guy group, like Jodeci. But SWV just stood out. People love their vocals, and they love ours, too.”
Not to mention, there are five more battles that have yet to be officially announced. While we wait for more information regarding those battles, prepare for Sunday’s showdown between The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire.
