Steph Curry is best known as the starting point guard for the Golden State Warriors, but he’ll soon be known as key player a new project from Peacock. The four-time NBA Champion is set to star alongside Adam Pally Peacock’s forthcoming series, Mr. Throwback. The series will follow the story of “a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who looks for redemption by reuniting with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA legend Steph Curry.”
Curry is no stranger to the small screen. While most his television appearances are tied to Oracle Arena, he has lent his voice acting talents to Family Guy and The Simpsons in years past. Not to be forgotten, he appeared in Ballers and produced several documentaries, including Emanuel and The Queen of Basketball.
Pally is also familiar with the small screen. He may not have drained a three-point shots from 40-feet out, but he has starred in several series like Happy Endings, Champaign ILL and The Mindy Project. More recently, he’s contributed to Sonic the Hedgehog and its Paramount+ spinoff series, Knuckles.
David Caspe, Matthew Libman and Daniel Libman will write the series and executive produce it alongside Pally and Curry. With that said, there is no release date for the series just yet.
