Lucasfilm’s latest animated series, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, will debut on Disney+ in 2021. The series will focus on experimental clones of the bad batch, which were introduced in The Clone Wars. Along the way, the experimental clones must survive and overcome obstacles in a changing galaxy rebounding from the Clone Wars. In the end, this new band of brothers will find a new purpose and place in the new world order.
“Giving new and existing fans the final chapter of Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been our honor at Disney+, and we are overjoyed by the global response to this landmark series,” Disney+ Executive Agnes Chu said.
“While the Clone Wars may have come to its conclusion, our partnership with the groundbreaking storytellers and artists at Lucasfilm Animation is only beginning. We are thrilled to bring Dave Filoni’s vision to life through the next adventures of the Bad Batch,” Chu continued.
The Mandalorian Executive Producer Dave Filoini will return as an executive producer alongside Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett and Carrie Beck. Corbett will also serve as the head writer while Rau steps in as the supervising director.
