As ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ inches closer and closer to its release date in December the marketing of the film will obviously continue to ramp up. Last night, Lucasfilm and Disney dropped a brand new extended TV spot for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’. The spot features tons of never before seen footage. Such as Luke returning to the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon, Finn piloting a ship in battle and what seems to be Snoke sitting on his throne. The spot does an excellent job of sprinkling in new footage without giving anything major away about the plot of the film. It also plays around with angles and editing just like the last full-length trailer did. In the full-length trailer, we were led to believe that Ray is talking to Kylo about helping her find her place in the world, which could still be the case. Though in this TV spot we see same the clip without the clip of Kylo immediately following it. Which makes the clip seem harmless overall. Secondly, at the end of the trailer were made to believe once again through editing, that Ray is standing over Luke with her lightsaber drawn. This could easily be the same trick that they played in the last trailer.
We’ve attached the new TV spot and official synopsis for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ below.
‘Rey develops her newly discovered abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker, who is unsettled by the strength of her powers. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares to do battle with the First Order’ Via Lucasfilm
