Letitia Wright and John Boyega star in the latest Small Axe trailer from Steve McQueen. Small Axe is an anthology series that brings together five films starring the likes of Boyega, Wright, Kenyah Sandy, Shaun Parkes and many others.
“Based on a true story, Small Axe celebrates little known stories of Black pride and resilience, like the Mangrove March. Learn more about what happens when even ordinary people stand up to police brutality and racial injustice to achieve something transformative,” Amazon Prime wrote about the series.
The Letitia Wright led Mangrove portion of the series will debut on November 20. Lovers Rock starring Michael Ward will premiere on November 27 and Education with Kenyah Sandy will debut on December 4. The series will finally wrap up with Alex Wheatle starring Sheyi Cole on December 11 and Red, White and Blue starring John Boyega will hit BBC on December 18.
