SixSaidIt is back with a new single! The genre-bending British-Nigerian artist has delivered an Afropop-infused track called “Choosey.” Inspired by Petey Pablo’s “Freek-a-Leek,” the single showcases her bold personality and infectious hitmaking ability as she refers to the biggest names in music from bar to bar.
“I need a man like Dave/Big whips make a bad gyal behave/Six brick tips just to catch my name/Sponsor but he wanna be my slave/Type of man I crave, just might hit save,” SixSaidIt raps.
“I’m choosy, man wanna do me/T-Pain chop and screw me/Even ex-man from Uni, Rooney/Said he’d never seen such beauty.”
“Choosey” is far from the first time that the rising artist has pulled from an early 2000s hit to make a track of her own. On her latest EP, Outside, SixSaidIt interpolated J Known’s “Tipsy” on her own track, “Code Switch.” Months later, she’s looking to build upon the success of Outside with the release of Outside II.
“Outside II s a sequel to my first EP, Outside, where I introduced listeners to different sounds influenced by my hometowns. While Outside was an introduction to Six as an artist that likes to explore, Outside II solidifies my stance as a genre flexible rapper that is unafraid to push the boundaries of hip-hop,” she said about her forthcoming project.
“Choosey” is available below and Outside II is on the way!
