The Philadelphia 76ers may finally have some decent guards on the roster. According to Dei Lynam of CSN Philly, the team has waived guard Phil Pressey in order to make room for Tony Wroten and Kendall Marshall:
Sixers announced they waived Phil Pressey. Tony Wroten and Kendall Marshall recalled from DLeague. Wroten said Weds he was playing Saturday

The Sixers have struggled in the back-court (and elsewhere, considering they are 1-19) so getting Marshall and Wroten back from their respective injuries can be a big step in the right direction. At the very least, it opens up more space for their big-men, Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor, while also getting them some easier baskets through Marshall’s passing.
The new additions likely will not lead to many more wins, but they will be crucial to gauging the development of their young stars. It will be interesting to see how the on-court product changes with the addition of some competent back-court players. Wins are not at a premium for the Philadelphia 76ers at this point, but the development of their young players is, and that starts with providing them with good help in the form of better teammates.
