The legacy lives on!
Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff merged music, television, and pop culture through the legendary series, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Decades after its debut, Morgan Cooper has garnered Smith’s support for a dramatic reimagination of the series called Bel-Air. Not only has the show lived up to expectations, but it also has showcased multi-talented artists, much like the original show. Coco Jones has blossomed into an R&B sensation, while Jabari Banks and Olly Sholotan have released their own singles. Not to mention, Jazlyn Martin recently released her debut EP, Identity Crisis. Now, Simone Joy Jones, known as S!MONE, has jumped into the mix.
After releasing a string of singles throughout 2022, 2023, and the first half of 2024, S!MONE is here to close out the year with her sophomore project, Magnet. Smooth and soulful, S!MONE’s 10-track project unfurls the complexities of love, dating, and relationships in modern society. While she is a successful actress living life in the fast-paced Hollywood bubble, the emerging talent’s stories and observations about the pursuit of love and happiness are relatable on several levels. Best of all, S!MONE showcases her ability to go from the uptempo “Short Notice” to subdued “Tangerine” without missing a beat, highlighting her versatility as an artist.
The world may have met her as an actress, but it’s clear that S!MONE is whatever she channels her talent and creativity towards. Magnet is the latest example of what she’s capable of achieving.
