While the Hawks intend to waive Mack, the Grizzlies are expected to keep Dorsey.
Mack is a seven-year veteran who has played the backup point guard role behind Mike Conley in Memphis. Mack has averaged 7.9 points per game in 53 appearances with the Grizzlies this season. He should be a sought after candidate once he hits the buyout market.
Dorsey, the second-year guard out of the University of Oregon, has struggled to find his footing on a rebuilding Atlanta team. Dorsey has appeared in a total of 83 games, averaging 6.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
