Early morning program at FS1 will look a bit different in the near future. According to Ryan Glasspiegel of The New York Post, Undisputed Co-Host Shannon Sharpe has elected to leave the show after seven seasons. Additionally, Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay will no longer be featured among the network’s catalog of programming. The split is expected to become official shortly after the conclusion of the 2023 NBA Finals.
“I’m stunned by this news of Shannon Sharpe leaving Undisputed, I think it’s a huge loss for FS1,” FOX Sports Radio’s Chris Broussard said on Wednesday.
“I thought that he and Skip Bayless had at least gotten to a point where they could coexist, but apparently not.”
Sharpe’s colleagues were not the only people “stunned” by his exit from the popular sports debate show. Viewers took to social media to share their thoughts on the matter as well.
“No way. I only watched because of Shannon Sharpe. The show is cooked,” one viewer tweeted.
“I’m happy for Unc Shannon Sharpe. I am going to support him wherever he goes,” another viewer tweeted.
Sharpe nor his co-host, Skip Bayless, have publicly commented on the matter. Undisputed is set to air ahead of the start of the NBA Finals on June 1, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. EST.
