Shane Mosley Jr. has found his next opponent. On June 10, Mosley Jr. is set to fight Massachusetts native D’Mitrius Ballard in a ten-round middleweight contest. The crossroads battle will serve as the chief support for a headlining bout featuring Jaime Munguía and Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Both fights will air live on DAZN from Toyota Arena in Ontario, Canada.
Mosley Jr. will return to the middleweight division for the first time since May 29, 2021. After losing a ten-round middleweight contest to Jason Quigley in May 2021, he moved up to super middleweight to fight Gabriel Rosado and Mario Alberto Lozano. Riding the high of a two-fight win streak, he will drop back down eight pounds to fight D’Mitrius “Big Meech” Ballard.
D’Mitrius “Big Meech” Ballard enters the ring with a record of 21-1-1 with 13 knockouts. Unlike Mosely Jr., Ballard lost his last outing. In February 2022, Munguia beat the Massachusetts native by TKO in Tijuana, Mexico. After a 16-month layoff, he is looking to get back on the winning path after suffering the first loss of his career.
