Four Star Scottie Pippen Jr. has ended his recruitment and committed to the Vanderbilt Commodores. Pippen Jr. held offers from Washington State, San Francisco, Colorado State, UC Santa Barbara, and Hofstra. Without a doubt, the relationship between Pippen Jr and Bryce Drew was cited as a major reason for the commitment. As a member of the Oakland Soldiers AAU team, Pippen Jr. averaged 15 points and 2.6 assists through 23 games on the Nike NYBL circuit last summer. The 6’1″ guard is being recruited to come in and get immediate playing time at the point guard position. He’s proved in AAU and high school basketball he has the ability to score at all three levels.
