Samuel L. Jackson has teamed up with his daughter, Zoe Jackson to produce a documentary series called Life on the Edge. Life on the Edge will look at gang culture within marginalized communities.
“No one has ever looked at these groups from a fresh perspective – from the inside out. These are young people trying to find a place in a chaotic world up against extraordinary odds. I can’t think of stories more worthy of telling,” the father-daughter duo said.
Alongside the Jacksons, Ample Entertainment will assist with the production. Ample Entertainment recently produced the Facebook Watch series 9 Months.
“We could not be more excited for this partnership and the chance to skip the stereotypes and get real,” Ample co-founder Ari Mark said.
Samuel L. Jackson has long been a fixture within the entertainment industry. He has starred in iconic roles such as Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction and Ken Carter in Coach Carter. His daughter has starred behind the scenes as a producer for Project Runway and Top Chef. This is the first time the two will work together on a project of this magnitude.
