Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins have inked a new deal that locks the young single caller in as the face of the franchise for the next five season.
According to NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport, Tannehill’s new deal is worth $77 million with $45 million guaranteed. To put his new deal in perspective:
Today’s contract means Ryan Tannehill will surpass Dan Marino in earnings. Had Marino at about $55M. Tannehill guaranteed to make more.

Tannehill has steadily improved every season since his rookie campaign and last season he posted personal bests in every passing statistic. The team will be expecting his improvements to continue considering all of the talent that was added this off season.
Expect Tannehill’s new deal to effect the numbers we see in Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson’s eventual contract extensions.
