Few albums have had quite the impact that Rosalía’s Motomami has had. Not only has it sparked critical discussions, but it has also performed well commercially. The project earned 16.3 million streams on its first day and quickly became the sixth Spanish album by a female artist to have all of its tracks surpass 10 million streams on Spotify. By the end of the first week, it moved 17,000 units in its week and became the best-selling album by a Spanish artist in the U.S. thus far. Ultimately, it earned three MTV VMA nominations and paved the way for a nearly 50-date world tour that runs through the end of the year. Given the success of the initial release, it only makes sense that Rosalía would return with the deluxe edition of Motomami.
“I literally don’t take breaks,” Rosalía told Apple Music.
“I feel like, to work at a certain level, to get a certain result, you really need to sacrifice.”
Rosalía’s second chapter of the Motomami story brings back tracks like “Candy” and “La Fama” featuring The Weeknd. At the same time, it adds new songs like “LAX” and the “Candy” remix featuring Chencho Corleone. Not to mention, she offers a live rendition of “Candy” from en Palau Sant Jordi.
