Robert Williams has given Texas A&M a lot of beautiful highlight plays in his short tenure, but those will soon be coming to an end. Quickly after the Aggies lost in a blowout fashion to the Michigan Wolverines the star big man announced that he would definitely be declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft. Williams did not wait long at all to inform the world that he would be heading toward the draft. He informed reports shortly after the game.

This is not a surprising move as Wiliams considered making the jump to the NBA after last year when he finished his freshman year. Willimas passed up what would have likely been a first-round selection and gambled on himself. Williams had a sophomore season filled with great strides in his play on the court and his maturity. His spectacular sophomore season was highlighted in the second round with a dominating win over the defending champion North Carolina Tar Heels.

Williams has the strength and athleticism to make NBA teams take an extremely close look at him and should they be in need of an explosive big he may just be the perfect answer. His rebounding ability is also something teams could be desperate to add to their team. Williams may be done with the Aggies, but he left his impact on the school and it is doubtful that they will ever forget his windmill throwdowns and the pure passion that he brought to College Station for two years.
