After much deliberation, NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski has announced he will retire from playing football once again. The future Hall of Fame tight end played his entire career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When he first came out of retirement it was to play again with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay where they won yet another Super Bowl. Brady, who retired and then changed his mind will be without his top target this season in Tampa Bay. Gronkowski will likely once again expand his brand beyond football.
A legendary career for @RobGronkowski:

With Tom Brady returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, many expected Rob Gronkowski to also return and play with his longtime friend and teammate. Despite only being 33, he is easily a clear-cut top tight end of all time. While his retirement has just been announced it has not stopped speculation from already beginning about his future playing football. When Tom Brady calls, people pick up the phone.
In reaction to Rob Gronkowski’s news, his agent Drew Rosenhaus texts: “It would not surprise me if Tom Brady calls him during the season to come back and Rob answers the call. This is just my opinion but I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob comes back during the season or next season.”
