The Senior Bowl game and practices have concluded. The North team defeated the South 34-13. Below are some players that caught my eye from the South team this week.
- Offense
The South team didn’t have the explosive players the North Team did thus the score. Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson was head and shoulders above the others (Blake Simms & Bryan Bennett). Grayson is a player who does everything pretty well but does not possess an elite trait. Grayson is battling for the 3rd best quarterback behind Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. The offensive line looked dominant during the week. The group was led by Arie Koundjio and Lael Collins. A pair of SEC players could be mauling guards to watch moving forward. Tre Jackson was another guard who had an outstanding week from Florida State. Tyler Lockett from Kansas State also showed his return ability to go along with his receiving threat.
- Miami
A mediocre Miami Hurricanes team brought a bunch of talented players to Mobile. Tight end Clive Walford was a straight stud drawing comparisons to Jimmy Graham. Both players went to Miami and have that notorious basketball background. Wide out Phillip Dorsett, son of legend Tony Dorsett is a guy who has serious wheels. Dorsett has a chance to break the combine 40 yard dash record. Chris Johnson currently hold the record with a 4.24, while Dorsett’s personal record is a 4.21 during his track days at the U. A pair of defensive players also had great weeks. Ladarius Guntar and Denzell Perryman have a chance to be first round picks come May.
