After a breakout season as a full-time wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor hit the free agency market as one of the most attractive targets. Would he sign a long-term deal or continue his trend of one-and-done stints with teams? He elected to ink a deal with the Washington Redskins for about $8 million.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the agreement.

Terrelle Pryor didn’t come into the NFL with a ton of hype surrounding him after his solid career as the quarterback at Ohio State. The Oakland Raiders selected him in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft. He lasted about three years in Oakland before he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a seventh-round pick. But he was cut by the Seahawks before the season began and he then joined the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, but those stints didn’t last long. He switched to wide receiver after he got cut by the Bengals and in 2016 he finally got his shot to shine in 2016.
Pryor appeared in all 16 games and caught 77 passes for 1007 yards receiving and five total touchdowns for the Browns. He was the top target for Cleveland quarterback’s due in part to the injury to rookie Corey Coleman. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 wide receiver out of 115 qualifying players at his position.
