For a few podcast fan bases, the last month has been pretty difficult. First, Bomani Jones announced that he would be taking an indefinite absence from his popular podcast, The Right Time. Then, the Bodega Hive bid farewell to The Bodega Boys after nearly a decade of laughs. Not to mention, The Joe Budden Podcast and I Am Athlete have both endured public breakups within the last few years. With all of that going on, one podcast is looking to end their indefinite hiatus later this month.
On Monday, Brian “B. Dot” Miller and Elliott Wilson announced that their popular podcast, Rap Radar, will return on August 18, 2022. As expected, the announcement was met with the cheers from the show’s loyal fan base.
“Let’s Go,” entertainment journalist Gia Peppers tweeted.
“Welcome back,” Dometi Pongo of MTV News added.
Rap Radar will return as part of Warner Music Group’s in-house podcast network, Interval Presents. Through this partnership, Wilson and Miller will “amplify diverse voices and unpack trending conversations with cultural movers.” Along the way, they’ll check in with some of the biggest names in all of entertainment. Past guests include Drake, Jay-Z and J. Cole.
“We’re excited to work with the Interval Presents team and to continue to have dialogue and conversation that speak to the minds of the ever-growing hip-hop community,” Wilson said.
“Interval Presents stands for values rooted in authenticity and music artistry, making the network the perfect home for our podcast.”
The new season of Rap Radar will kick off on August 18, 2022.
