When looking to release a new project like RadixTheRuler is looking to do with his ‘Cetra’ EP on the way, you have to find a lead single or “buzz” single as some may like to call it that will grasp the ears of the listeners. Well the Massachusetts native might potentially have that record he needs to accomplish just that. Linking up with a fellow statesman, Anjelihs, the two come together to deliver the YNGLRD produced effort, ‘Funk Lord’. For me the production automatically grabbed my attention and I knew it would be more than one time I would listen to this joint. I check to see if the production side of things will keep me interested throughout the entire record and it did that for me. Next listen, I check out the lyrics to see what direction the artist(s) is going in. What I get from RadixTheRuler’s ‘Funk Lord’ is that there is no one like them and where they come from, to where they are going nobody can stop them.
“There use to be lint now there’s gems in my pocket”
A rag to riches, turn up anthem and when I gave it the car test, it passed as I thought it would. Check out the track for yourself below and with the ‘Cetra’ EP on the way expect to see more of Massachusetts’ own RadixTheRuler sooner than later.
