Pusha T announces the launch of his new record label, focusing on representing Virginia-bred talent.
Heir Wave Music Group stands as Pusha T’s new label and the first signee has already been introduced. During an event in Richmond, Virginia, Pusha T not only announced the label but also named rapper Kahri 1k as his first artist.
Kahri 1K may be new to Pusha T’s label however, he has a fairly new project already available to stream. The Virginia artist dropped The Ghost Of Pecan Acres on January 31, 2020. With only nine tracks, the project features Quando Rondo and Yung Bleu. Kahri leads Pusha’s initiative to bring artists from his home state into the spotlight.
“I just wanted to bring everybody together just to tell y’all what we’re really trying to do here. As far as Virginia goes and where I’m from, the 757…I sort of feel like we haven’t established like a circuit that’s really our own,” says Pusha T during the event held at Defiant Studios.
The record label is only one of the Daytona rapper’s recent business ventures. Pusha T recently opened his own ramen restaurant in Washington DC featuring happy hour and hookah.
