Jon Bernthal’s first made his debut as the brutal anti-hero, Punisher on season 2 of Netflix’s Daredevil and amazed fans with his performance as the vigilante. Building off the hype of his battle with the devil from Hell’s Kitchen, Netflix has decided to go in-depth on the Punisher’s story. The show has already been filmed and now we have some indication as to when it will be released.
In an interview with the Hollywood reporter, Dearbhla Walsh, who directed one of the episodes of the premiere season for Frank Castle, let it slip that the show may Debut in November:
“One other time that hasn’t been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it’s not airing until November. I directed that in New York and edited in L.A., but this was my first directing experience in lovely Canada.”
Well there you have it. In November, along with Marvel’s Defenders, Netflix will be releasing the first season of the Punisher. Bernthal’s performance alone should be enough for you to want to watch him in action as the Frank Castle. This is a must watch on Netflix.
