Earlier this summer, he rolled out the first single from his album, Culture Jam, called “Everything Different” with NBA Youngboy and Rod Wave. This week, he’s back with a new single called “Waves” with Gunna and Polo G.
Produced by Everything Foreign, “Waves” has more an upbeat kick than his previous single. Bouncing over the lively production, Gunna delivers an addictive hook that is equipped with his signature flow.
“Jumped off the porch/Pushed to the Porsche/Got eyes in New York/Got stars in the race
My style is Dior/Got wild freaky wh*res/Keep cold in the port/The waves with no shores,” Gunna raps.
Polo G picks up the track on the second verse. Coming off of the drill production of “Lurkin’ 2.0,” the Chicago delivers his verse in a more laid-back, yet catchy manner. Nevertheless, his solid lyricism is still entact,
“My lil’ snipper like KD/Gone pass something be scoring clutch/All night off X pills in traffic they going up/Serving out the back door cause yo trap windows boarded up/Don’t think it’s sweet cause I rap dope,” he adds.
