Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion and, Ariana Grande stand alongside over 100 musicians joining Planned Parenthood’s efforts to support reproductive rights signing the #BansOffMyBody petition protesting strict abortion laws.

An act of solidarity with the non-profit organization the artists who signed the petition recognize that freedom is the basis for music and reproductive rights.

“Our bodies are our own — if they are not, we cannot be truly free or equal. Across the country, some politicians are trying to make decisions about our bodies for us. We won’t let the abortion bans sweeping the country put our lives and futures at risk, and we won’t be silenced while our fundamental right to control our bodies is taken away.” says Planned Parenthood on the campaign’s homepage.

Nearly 140 musicians have banded together to tell lawmakers: #BansOffMyBody! Add your name to the petition and sign alongside artists and musicians here: https://t.co/jJNOEHocfr pic.twitter.com/uIo8L9wrdf

Rappers, singers, rockers and more ranging from Fetty Wap and Lady Gaga to Tinashe and T-Pain all stand with Planned Parenthood’s efforts.  Truth Hurts singer Lizzo not only signed the petition, but she also sported a “Bans Off” necklace during events following the 2019 VMAs.

About the Bans Off My Body Campaign: Bans Off My Body seeks to center the people who are impacted by these draconian restrictions on reproductive health and freedom, and encourages people to join together, and with Planned Parenthood, to take action and fight back. The accompanying website, www.bansoffmybody.org, will drive users to a tool that allows them to see abortion access restrictions around the country, and direct them to ways they can take action.
