PJ Morton is gearing up for the release of his ninth studio album, Watch The Sun, later this month. In preparation for the project’s release, he shared the album’s trackless. Complete with 11 tracks, Wale, Jill Scott, Nas, Stevie Wonder, Alex Isley, Jojo and many other talented stars are set to appear on the project.
“I’m being more honest, authentic, and open than I’ve been in the past,” Morton said about the project, according to BET.
“As much as people know about me, I’m pretty private about specifics, but these were some real things going on in my life. It manifested with lyrics that pushed myself, not just going with the first thing or the thing that felt good, but making sure that I challenged myself to go deeper.”
Watch The Sun will debut on April 29, 2022 and he will celebrate its release with a performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. One month later, he will begin a short tour through Australia.
