The 2017 NBA Draft is upon us and one team looking to hit big in the draft is the New York Knicks. Amid rumors that they would want to rid themselves of Carmelo Anthony and find the best available deal for young star Kristaps Porzingis, the team is looking to hit big. Phil Jackson needs to draft the right man to fill out their squad.
But Jackson most likely won’t be drafting anyone he won’t be able to see. Top prospects Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball and De’Aaron Fox won’t meet with the team but others like Malik Monk, Dennis Smith Jr, and Frank Ntilikina have visited with the team. The Knicks had their fair share of lottery picks come to visit but apparently, during one visit, Phil Jackson fell asleep. At least that’s what a 2017 NBA Draft hopeful says.
Check out what the lottery pick said to ESPN’s Jay Williams.

It’s just another step in the legacy of Phil Jackson as the president of the New York Knicks.
