The Weeknd is gearing up to take on one of the biggest platforms in all of entertainment, the Super Bowl. Following in the footsteps of Prince, Janet Jackson and Beyoncé, The Weeknd is holding down the halftime show for Super Bowl LV between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. Before delivering a stellar performance at Raymond James Stadium, the pop sensation starred in Pepsi’s Super Bowl LV ad.
Pepsi will also back The Weeknd’s Super Bowl performance. Thus far, there are few details regarding the show. One thing we do know is that the Canadian singer and songwriter has stated that there will be no surprise or special guests.
“I’ve been reading a lot of rumors,” he told the NFL Network.
“There wasn’t any room to fit it in the narrative and the story I was telling in the performance. So there’s no special guests, no.”
