Head Coach Kevin Keatts and the North Carolina State Wolfpack have landed the commitment of 2024 top 30 recruit and top ten shooting guard Paul McNeil. This is a massive pickup for a program that seems to finally be trending back in the right direction after years of underperforming in the ACC. Before committing to the North Carolina State Wolfpack, he held offers from the Clemson Tigers, Indiana Hoosiers, LSU Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, and several other top programs. Keatts is building a winner both on the recruiting trail and on the basketball court.

Paul McNeil is a fringe five-star with time to earn that fifth star before he lands on campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. While he is not a likely “one and done” prospect, he does have NBA talent and will likely hear his name on draft night somewhere in the future. He should be able to provide an impact for the program in his first season with the Wolfpack. With the team currently ranked and winning, the future looks bright for the program.

Paul McNeil is the first recruit to commit to Keatts and the Wolfpack in the 2024 recruiting class, but that will almost certainly change over the course of the next year. He may remain the headliner of the class for North Carolina State, but they do have offers out to a few players ranked ahead of him in the class. Regardless this in-state pickup is huge for the program and could be a sign of good things to come for the Wolfpack.
