We all know the old saying. There are three things promised in this life. Life, death and waiting around for new music from Rihanna, Frank Ocean or PartyNextDoor. It’s unclear when or if Frank Ocean or Rihanna will release solo projects in the future, but it does appear that PartyNextDoor may have new music on the way. In a somewhat cryptic fashion, he hinted at new music via Twitter earlier today.
“Out with the old, in with the new! never sounded so good coming for you, px,” PartyNextDoor wrote.
PartyNextDoor’s tweet didn’t include any specific song titles or release dates, but it was not enough to get his fan base going.
“Drop some music party! Quit playing,” one fan tweeted.
“New PND?” a second fan asked.
“You been quiet for too long,” another fan wrote.
PartyNextDoor has a track record of taking his time between major releases. In 2013, he released his debut, self-titled project. One year later, he returned with Colours. From 2016 through 2017, he deviated from his typical work schedule to release two EPs and one studio album in 13 months. His most recent studio album, Partymobile, arrived in March 2020 and has been relatively quiet since then. Could this tweet indicate the release of his next project? Only time will tell.
