Pardison Fontaine has made a career out of collaborating with other artists. In his nearly decade long grind, he’s worked with Cardi B, Jeremih and many more of your favorite artists. As a lead artist, he’s also found success with his breakout hit, “Backin’ It Up” featuring Cardi B. Most recently, he dropped his latest project, Underrated. The 2019 project features Jadakiss, Jeremih, City Girls and many more.
During his press run for the project, he stopped by The Breakfast Club to chop it up with Charlamagne and DJ Envy. At one point during the interview, the New York artist mentions that he passed up on an opportunity to be on the remix of Aminé’s “Reel It In”.
He noted, “I missed out on a big feature too. I slept. I slept.”
Charlamagne proceeded to ask more about the mystery feature and Pardison elaborated. He told the radio host, “I don’t even like telling people about it because I could’ve been on that record.”
He adds, “They sent the record over for me. I think it’s called ‘Reel It In’ or something like that. It’s a fire record and I was like, ‘Bet, I’m going to do it.’ I just waited like two days. Then, two days past and Gucci Mane was on it.”
“Reel It In” was ultimately remixed and then followed by a “Blackjack” remix with Grammy nominee, YBN Cordae. Hopefully, the two can work together in the future.
