Olivia King has recruited Dondria for the “Blue” remix.
Serving as the first offering from King’s forthcoming project, This Is The Remix Part II, the “Blue” remix is a soulful, guitar-laden ode to the pains of love and loss. The emerging singer takes the lead from the opening note as she bends her fervent vocals to the grief-stricken production of Gabriel Florez before passing the baton to Dondria for the second verse.
“Am I that easy to let go of? True love ain’t like this, you don’t hav? a clue. [It] seems the truth is really hard for you, so I’ll walk away a diff?rent avenue,” King sings.
“I told myself before I walk away I’d give my all, even if I had to fall. Now, I’ve gotten to the point where there’s nothing left to give. What you get, you ain’t giving. [I] don’t wanna say goodbye, but I’m tired,” Dondria adds.
“Blue” sets the stage for This Is The Remix Part II, the follow-up to the 2022 project featuring Beshen, BARii, Anyta, Marcus Rodriguez and Verum. Since then, she’s delivered a Christmas album and a handful of singles, including “Brick By Brick” and “One Reason” featuring Zacc P.
