The Cleveland Browns have decided to release often disgruntled star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. This move will happen after the two sides negotiate some of the financial terms, but that is believed to be a move that both sides have agreed was the right thing to do. The talented wide receiver will have to clear waivers before he would be free to sign with whichever team he chooses to sign with. While the Browns did look for trade partners before the NFL trade deadline they could not find a deal.

The father of the wide receiver, Odell Beckham Sr., sparked some controversy when he posted a video on Youtube highlighting the instances that quarterback Baker Mayfield missed his son wide open on the field during games. It became clear very quickly that the relationship between the Browns and Odell Beckham Jr. had soured beyond repair.
Whether Odell Beckham, Jr. is waived today or tomorrow, he will be subject to waivers on Monday.
Any team that wants to claim him would have to submit a waiver claim by Monday afternoon and would inherit the remaining 9 weeks of whatever money Beckham is still owed.

The star former Browns wide receiver will have to prove he is right and it wasn’t his fault for his lack of production. The team he goes to will depend on if he clears waivers or is claimed by a team by Monday.
