The highly anticipated trailer for Oceans 8 has dropped. The re-quel bolsters an all-star cast featuring the likes of Sandra Bullock, Rihanna, Cate Blanchett and many more.
The film focuses on a plot to steal jewelry from the annual Met Gala in NYC. Bullock plays Danny Ocean‘s (George Clooney from the 2000’s series) sister who also seems to be involved in a life of crime. The tone of the trailer is pretty on point with that of the original films, with the dynamic between the cast looking very electric. The film also marks the first major live-action role for Rihanna in a wide release studio film. Though, she has previously made cameo’s in other films like ‘This Is The End’ and ‘Valerian‘. She also had a very impactful, yet brief stint on the final season of A&E’s Bate’s Motel. Playing the role of Marion Crane in a tastefully updated style.
Ocean’s 8 is set to hit theatres on June 8th, 2018 with hopes of reviving one of the best dormant franchises around in Hollywood today.
