Two years after his untimely death, the legacy of Nipsey Hussle lives on. Through his clothing brand, posthumous feature and All Money In imprint, the Crenshaw legend continues to be a topic of discussion within Hip-Hop circles. This Friday, his name will return yet again. Nipsey Hussle’s estate has announced that a visual project reviving his 2010 mixtape, The Marathon, will be released on February 5.
“The Marathon Visual Album Experience” will feature music from his iconic mixtape while chronicling his rise to fame. Along the way, Hussle’s legacy will live on through original footage and visuals.
This is simply the latest release from Nipsey’s extensive posthumous catalog. Last year, he won two Grammy Awards for his contributions to “Higher” from DJ Khaled. This year, he’s nominated for another Grammy Award through his guest verse on “Deep Reverence” from Big Sean.
Given his recent success, it’s possible that this release could land him further critical acclaim. Check out the tease for the visual album below.
