The Orlando Magic defeated the Atlanta Hawks in a true thriller on Sunday. With the game tied at 94-94, with 2.2 seconds on the clock, Elfrid Payton inbounded the ball to center Nikola Vucevic, who faded away for a tightly-contested jump shot over Al Horford. The shot fell as the buzzer sounded, and the fans(and players) went crazy.
Vucevic finished with 22 points and 9 rebounds on 11-19 shooting, leading the team in scoring.
This is Vucevic’s second buzzer-beating game-winner of the season, as he hit a fairly similar shot to win against the Lakers back in November. With today’s win, the Magic are 22-28, and sit at 11th in the East. The Hawks are now 30-23, and are 4th in the East.
This was a good win for the Magic against a division rival. Vucevic knocked down the big shot, and sent the fans home happy.
