Netflix has renewed You for a ten-episode third season for 2021. The renewal comes just a few weeks after the second season shot up to number five on Netflix’s top ten most popular series of 2019. Not to mention, the show trended worldwide on its December 26th season two release date.
In season three, Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti will return as executive producers. In addition, Gamble will serve as the showrunner. As expected, Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti will reprise their popular roles.
Prior to arriving on Netflix, You aired on Lifetime in September 2018. Months after the first season concluded, it arrived on Netflix and took off. The network has initially renewed the show for a second season, but it was later moved to Netflix exclusively just months later. Moving forward, the show is expected to remain on the streaming platform for the foreseeable future. If you’re interested in catching up on You, it is available now just in time for season three’s return in 2021.
