Dead To Me
Netflix

Fresh off of the success of On My Block‘s second season, Netflix has ushered in a trailer for its next big dark comedy, Dead To Me. In the new Netflix series, Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini star as two grieving widows who become friends despite their differing personalities. Applegate will play the role of Jen, a grieving widow who is determined to solve her husband’s hit and run murder. Meanwhile, Cardellini will play the role of Judy, a surprisingly bright and optimistic woman who also lost her husband. The two meet at a support group meeting and chaos ensues from there.

The series will be produced by both Adam McKay and Will Ferrell. The two have infamously paired up to write classics such as Anchorman and Talladega Nights. In addition, Liz Feldman will also serve as a producer. Feldman, McKay, Ferrell and Applegate will join Jessica Elbaum and Christie Smith as executive producers for the series. Ed Asner, James Marsden and Brandon Scott will also join the series in unspecified roles.

The dark, comedic Netflix original will hit the internet on May 3rd for its first run. In the meantime, check out the first official trailer from Netflix above.
