Noel entered free agency with Catalyst Sports agent Happy Walters, but decided to let Walters go last week after negotiations with the Mavericks remained unsuccessful. He then hired Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.
Noel was moved from Philadelphia to Dallas on trade deadline day last season. In 22 games with the Mavericks, he averaged 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 22 minutes.
Noel turned down a four-year, $70 million offer from Mavs owner Mark Cuban at the start of free agency, according to his former agent Happy Walters.
The Atlanta Hawks and Phoenix Suns were among the teams to express an interest in him.
