Ne-Yo has made his way to the nation’s capital for a performance at NPR’s famous Tiny Desk. Assisted by the vocal stylings of Pamela Westbrook, Courtney Campbell and Brian Deshawn Kelly, the GRAMMY Award winner performed some of his greatest hits, including “Because Of You,” “Sexy Love” and “Miss Independent.” Not to mention, he also performed Mario’s “Let Me Love You” and Rihanna’s “Take A Bow,” the Billboard Hot 100 number one hit that he wrote in the late 2000s.
“I’ve written a couple songs since I’ve been doing this thing,” he told the crowd in northeast Washington, D.C.
The Tiny Desk performance sets the stage for the second leg of Ne-Yo’s Champagne and Roses Tour. Beginning June 15 at the Velodrom Tour in Berlin, he’ll make stops in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Hamburg and three other European cities throughout late June. Just three months later, he’ll bring the tour down under for shows across Australia and New Zealand throughout September and early October.
