Miguel is a smart man. Looking to continue capitalizing on the success of the “Wildheart” favorite, “Waves”, he delivers new material for the record. We first saw him drop a video for the original version and then came the remix with Travis Scott. A visual soon followed and a live performance between the two on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Then what? Well after the live performance, Miguel proceeded to release a 5 track EP of “Waves” remixes which was titled “Rogue Waves”. Featuring the Travis Scott version as well one of the others happened to be “Waves (Tame Impala Remix)” and that is who has now been given the visual treatment.
Considering it is only less than 2 minutes in length, taking to the beach to shoot the video, the feel you get from the record matches the visual aspect.
If I was a betting man on this situation we can probably look for more videos to follow for the remaining remixes for “Rogue Waves”. Check out the video below…
